A note to myself … This was a private note that accidentally became art.

yo, this work isn’t here to diminish the feminine… it’s literally a note to myself.

after years of holding myself back, living my dreams in my mind and not in real life, I’d had enough.

Just that.

Enough of myself. Keeping myself small. Keeping my art to myself. Not doing the things I kept daydreaming about.

The entire point of painting became to express what I was internally & spiritually going through;

An awakening of the real me. The one who didn’t want to settle. The one with all the big dreams.

She, who knew that life had so much more to offer, but in order to receive it, I had to share my own goddamn magic with the world.

So the shedding began. All the old identities came up. And this painting was kind of a tribute to that..

I painted it with my bare hands, and spilled some paint in the corner. I’d say that’s pretty dope if you ask me, haha.
